It must be a Christian's goal to be part of the sisterhood and brotherhood of the Spirit of Fraternity. Because of this, it is imperative to capture the biblical spirit of our age. We walk in the presence of the Lord and proclaim His omnipotence. In so doing, every Christian will be expressing his dimensions of the faith. This authentic fraternity is at its best with the unconditional surrender of oneself for the walk. With such an experience a believer will be tending the wounds of the wounded amongst us. Alan Cohen (b. 1939) an American author of inspirational books observed, “Appreciation is the highest form of prayer, for it acknowledges the presence of good wherever you shine the light of thankful thoughts.” Undoubtedly, through this fraternity, you will be shining your light before and on those you meet.

Never Tire of Forgiving

Forgiveness is the the basis of a sociable fraternity. Having true friends means that there will be times when you won't see eye to eye. During these disagreements, it is imperative to reach out to make things right. This will be your way of expressing your freedom of goodness that manifests itself in you. It is exemplary when you forge bonds that will endure the test of time. Much of this aspect of your personality may not come easily, but will call for prudence and discernment.

In churches for example - when there are many pastoral challenges and as parishioners practice outreach, there will be disagreements. But, the holy people of God should be able to discuss and solve such conflicts amicably. As children of God - let Christian values guide your decisions for the betterment and well doing of all concerned. When we do acts of kindness, Christians are vivified by the spirit. Service itself can be spiritual food that leads to an enlightened community. An enlightened congregation means an abundance of blessings. It is only through experiences with the working of the Holy Spirit that we are blessed. This is why in relationships of every kind, friendship and fellowship are important.

Charles R. Swindoll (b. 1934) an evangelical Christian pastor, author and radio preacher remarked, “I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.”

Love God and Neighbor

A Fraternity of Spirit must be considered a fraternity for the journey. This trip will turn arid land into a garden of roses and express a profound heart to love within us. Love is courageous and seeks peace in unusual places. This is the depth of love found not only between friends, but with one's enemies, and is best expressed in an all encompassing God - Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that died for us on the cross at Calvary. With love comes loving-kindness when we embrace each other. But, love has to be constantly sowed and cultivated to reap an abundant harvest. Leo Buscaglia (1924 – 1998) an American author and motivational speaker taught, “A single rose can be my garden … a single friend, my world.” Our abundance in the world may well be one unique person. Such a blessing is qualitative and not quantitative.

Be Animated by the Spirit

The focus of the Spirit of Fraternity is on that of the Risen Christ. Believers who are members of His club are animated by His spirit. It is a Spirit of Fervor manifesting itself within us. Christ is a true Comforter, providing us with spiritual food when needed, and seeing Christians motivated by Apostolic zeal. For thousands of years since the outpouring of the spirit on the Feast of Pentecost, this occasion has been a tremendous blessing to every Christian. Our spiritual journey in continually deepened by innumerable spiritual experiences. Some in the brotherhood and sisterhood fraternity are known for their steadfast spirit of love, joy, hope and peace.

Every believer must make it essential for spreading the spirit. As for our devout fraternity, it is God who anoints those that are trustworthy. It is God who empowers us to do great works for Him on earth. A fraternity's walk is by faith and not by sight and in the process we are truly blessed.
